Wheatgerm oil is perhaps most well known as being a rich source of Vitamin E which helps to protect fats from rancidity. It also contains high levels of essential fatty acids including Omega 3, 6 and 9.
It can be applied externally to soothe various irritations including roughness of the skin, cracking, chafing and wrinkling. Wheatgerm oil may be too sticky to use on its own as a massage oil, buy it can be mixed with other carrier oils for a smoother blend.
Wheat germ oil soothes irritated skin, especially in the case of eczema, aids wound healing and is known to have a favourable effect on scar tissue, dry cracked skin, eczema, psoriasis, prematurely aged skin, stretch marks.
