Our Aloe Vera Gel is unique in that it contains 99% naturally derived ingredients, made with Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder and Xanthan Gum, a plant-based thickener. It is a gentle emollient and moisturiser, ideal for soothing irritated or injured skin.
Unlike the common misconception, there is no such thing as a naturally occurring Aloe Vera “gel.” All Aloe Gels are created by combining Aloe Juice (in varying concentrations) with a gelling agent. Most clear, crystal-like gels found in stores use synthetic gelling agents such as carbopols. In contrast, our Aloe Vera Gel uses Xanthan Gum, offering a natural alternative.
Please note: Because of the natural thickener, this gel has a slight yellow-green tint and a looser consistency.
For external use only
It is ready to use or add your choice of essential oils or fragrance by combining the with a solubiliser in equal parts then simply stirring thoroughly. Usually 0.1 - 0.4 % total is recommended for essential oils, above this the clarity of the gel may be compromised.
