These beeswax food wraps are an easy-to-make, environmentally friendly alternative to plastic cling film (gladwrap) They are so easy to fold and seal around food or a bowl to keep food fresh and protect from pests.
Wraps can be washed in cool, soapy water and re-used, however, as they can't be washed in hot water, don't use them to cover fish or raw meat.

Ingredients:
100g NZ Beeswax (yelow or white)
20g Pine Rosin
3T Jojoba golden natural oil
Fabric to make6x 30cmX30cm sheets
Equipment:-
Jug, paint brush, baking paper and iron, or tin foil and an oven
Crush up the pine rosin to make a powder (mortar & pestle or a plastic bag and a hammer)
Melt the beeswax, jojoba and pine rosin in a glass pyrex jug in a double boiler
When melted, brush over your pre-cut fabric square - a paint brush works great here
When they are all done, put your fabric square between baking paper and iron or place in tin foil and put in the oven. This is so your wax melts evenly into the fabric
